This promotion has ended. The Big Kick Off campaign ran to the FIFA World Cup 2026 final on 19 July 2026 and is now closed. This page is kept as a record of how it worked. For BK8's current offers, see the promotions page.
FIFA World Cup 2026 has finished — Spain beat Argentina in the final — and across the tournament BK8 ran a tournament-long prediction game, its Big Kick Off campaign, with a MYR 1,000,000 prize pool spread across all 104 matches. For anyone with a working knowledge of football who could pick a scoreline more often than not, it was one of the more accessible ways to turn World Cup attention into something tangible.
Here's how the campaign worked, what you needed to do to enter, and what it offered. (Big Kick Off was one of three BK8 World Cup campaigns running at once — our BK8 World Cup 2026 hub compares all three, plus the betting markets and key dates.)
If you'd rather bet the matches than predict them, our guide to World Cup betting in Malaysia covers what to look for in a betting site, Asian handicap vs 1X2, reading Malay odds, and the 90-minute settlement trap.
What is BK8 Big Kick Off?
Big Kick Off was BK8 Malaysia's headline World Cup 2026 campaign, hosted on its own microsite at bk8bigkickoff.com. The campaign ran from 1 June 2026 to 19 July 2026 — covering the full tournament from the opening match on 11 June (12 June at 03:00 MYT) right through to the final on 19 July.
The prize pool was MYR 1,000,000 in total, distributed via a leaderboard rather than match-by-match payouts. Every prediction earned or lost coins based on how accurate it was, and your total winning-coin balance at the end of the campaign determined your slice of the prize pool.
A quick note on framing: while the campaign uses official-looking BK8 SPORTS x FIFA branding, BK8 is not on FIFA's published list of World Cup 2026 partners, official sponsors, or supporters. Big Kick Off is BK8's own member promotion built around the tournament, not a FIFA-endorsed initiative. That doesn't change how the prizes work — it's just worth knowing what you're signing up for.
How to enter: deposit-to-ticket conversion
The entry mechanic is straightforward and ties directly to deposits:
Every MYR 500 you deposit during the campaign window (1 Jun – 19 Jul) earns one prediction ticket. Deposit more, earn more tickets — there's no cap.
Each ticket gives you 1,000 prediction coins to use on one match — split across Handicap, Over/Under, 1X2 and Correct Score.
Correct calls become winning coins. Your total climbs the leaderboard that pays out the MYR 1,000,000 pool — the top 100 all win a cash prize.
Big Kick Off asks more than BK8's lighter World Cup promotions — it's built for members already betting actively through the tournament. If MYR 500 a ticket feels steep, you don't have to start there:
Pick your entry level
| Promotion | Min deposit | What you get | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Big Kick OffThis page | MYR 500 / ticket | 1,000 coins per match · share of MYR 1,000,000 | Active bettors chasing the pool |
| Pick4Win | MYR 200 / day | Fixed MYR 50–388 per match predicted | Lower-stakes daily players |
| WC Trip Giveaway | MYR 150 first deposit | Lucky-draw entry for a World Cup trip | One-off, low-commitment entrants |
| Welcome bonus | MYR 50 | 100% sports bonus to start playing | Brand-new BK8 members |
How the prediction game works
Each ticket gives you 1,000 prediction coins to allocate across four bet types for the match you've picked:
You back Brazil −1.0 (win by 2+ to profit; a 1-goal win is refunded)
You pick 1 — Home win
You pick Over 2.5 goals
You predict 2–1
You decide how to split your 1,000 coins across these four bets for the match. You could go all-in on one bet type if you have a strong view, or spread risk across all four. Coins you allocate to a correct call become winning coins; coins on losing bets are forfeit.
Those winning coins are the campaign's scoring currency. They don't pay out match by match — they accumulate across every prediction you make, and your running total is what places you on the leaderboard that pays out the MYR 1,000,000 pool. Two timing rules from the terms are worth knowing up front: predictions for a match are accepted only until 30 minutes before kick-off, and results are settled on 90 minutes plus stoppage time — extra time and penalties in the knockout rounds don't count toward your prediction.
The leaderboard and prize distribution
The leaderboard ranks all participating members by total accumulated winning coins across every prediction they make during the campaign, and the MYR 1,000,000 pool is paid out by final position. The published prize tiers are steep at the top:
| Leaderboard rank | Cash prize (MYR) |
|---|---|
| 1st | 300,000 |
| 2nd | 200,000 |
| 3rd | 150,000 |
| 4th | 100,000 |
| 5th | 38,000 |
| 6th – 15th | 8,888 each |
| 16th – 25th | 1,888 each |
| 26th – 35th | 888 each |
| 36th – 65th | 388 each |
| 66th – 100th | 188 each |
The top four places carry the headline six-figure prizes; from 5th down, each rank band pays a fixed amount, so even scraping into the top 100 returns a cash reward. One thing to plan for: prizes are credited as a bonus reward (BK8 issues them as an "Angpao") carrying a 1x turnover requirement and a 7-day validity, so you play the reward through once before it becomes withdrawable.
The practical takeaway is the same as any leaderboard promo: a casual player making one or two predictions probably won't trouble the table, while a member who actively predicts across the full tournament has a meaningful shot at the paying tiers. Before stacking large deposits to chase the leaderboard, log in to your BK8 account and read the full campaign terms in the member area so you know exactly what each rank pays and how the bonus reward must be cleared.
When the matches happen — Malaysia time
A practical note for Malaysian fans: the campaign page lists every match in Malaysia time (UTC+8), so you don't need to mentally convert from Mexican, US, or Canadian time zones. The tournament opens with Mexico vs South Africa at 03:00 MYT on Friday 12 June (that's the afternoon of 11 June, local time, at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City).
Because the venues are all in North America, most group-stage matches land in the early morning Malaysia time — expect a run of 03:00 to 10:00 MYT kick-offs through the first couple of weeks. The campaign page sorts fixtures by date, so it's easy to plan which matches you want to spend tickets on, and remember that predictions lock 30 minutes before each kick-off.
Campaign timeline at a glance
| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| 1 Jun 2026 | Big Kick Off campaign opens — deposits start earning prediction tickets |
| 12 Jun 2026 (MYT) | World Cup opening match — Mexico vs South Africa, 03:00 MYT |
| Jun – Jul 2026 | Group stage, then the knockout rounds, across all 104 matches |
| 19 Jul 2026 | World Cup final — campaign closes and the leaderboard is finalised |
The campaign ran the full length of the tournament, giving members steady opportunities to earn tickets through deposits and build a position on the leaderboard.
Things to know before you commit
A few practical points that aren't always obvious from the campaign page:
Tickets are tied to deposits, not bets. You earn tickets by depositing — one for every MYR 500 — not by placing real-money bets on the sportsbook. The prediction coins are a campaign currency, separate from your betting bankroll.
One ticket, one match. Each ticket's 1,000 coins apply to a single match, split across that match's four bet options. To predict more matches you need more tickets — which means more qualifying deposits.
Predictions and settlement follow strict rules. Predictions lock 30 minutes before kick-off, and results are settled on 90 minutes plus stoppage time only — extra time and penalties don't count. Winning predictions pay out as a bonus ("Angpao") reward with a 1x turnover requirement valid for 7 days, so budget for clearing it before withdrawal. The standard BK8 promotional T&Cs apply on top of the campaign-specific rules.
BK8 is licensed in Anjouan (Comoros), not Malaysia. This is the same licensing structure that covers all BK8 promotions. The campaign is offered to Malaysian members under that operator framework — Malaysian online gambling law is a separate topic worth understanding before you decide how much to put in.
This is BK8's promotion, not FIFA's. Worth repeating: the Big Kick Off prize pool comes from BK8, the campaign is administered by BK8, and disputes go through BK8 customer support. FIFA branding on the microsite is BK8's marketing presentation of its World Cup campaign, not a tie-up with the governing body.
How it worked
While it was live, any BK8 member who made a qualifying deposit from 1 June earned at least one prediction ticket, then logged in to the campaign microsite to pick a match and allocate 1,000 coins. New members registered at BK8 first, then deposited at least MYR 500 within the campaign window to earn a ticket.
The full BK8 sportsbook ran World Cup markets independently of Big Kick Off, so members could also place regular bets on matches they weren't using prediction tickets for — and BK8's separate Pick4Win game rewarded a fixed MYR 50–388 per match off a lower MYR 200 daily deposit. Both prediction campaigns have now ended with the tournament.
Whether the leaderboard payouts were worth the deposit volume Big Kick Off was designed to reward depended on a member's existing betting cadence and confidence in their picks. For someone already planning to bet through the tournament, the prediction tickets were essentially a free side-game on top of normal play; for someone depositing specifically to enter, the maths was harder — the MYR 1,000,000 pool was large, but so was the field competing for it.
Big Kick Off closed with the final on 19 July 2026. For BK8's current promotions, see the promotions page — the operator typically runs a similar prediction campaign around each major tournament.
